A charming, rustic Creole inspired retreat where you will feel equally at home swinging in a hammock and soaking up the wonderful views or disappearing beneath the waves to discover some of the best diving on the island.
Choose Ti Kaye Village for picture postcard prettiness and a place that's full character. This is a world away from the huge sprawling resorts full of facilities and formality. The atmosphere here is laidback and informal; where lazy days spent swimming and sunbathing turn into evenings spent over delicious dinners in the delightful Kai Manje restaurant.
Accommodation
The hotel's 33 gingerbread cottages are dotted across the hillside and have been designed in the traditional West Indian style, with large verandahs decked with hammocks for two, kingsize beds and romantic outdoor showers. In addition to the stunning views, some also have their own plunge pools.
Tiny paths snake through the lush foliage linking each cottage with the main pavilion, the pretty freshwater swimming pool and the wooden lounge deck - a popular spot for afternoon tea.
Activities
From here, a winding wooden staircase of 166 steps leads down to the sheltered cove where divers and snorkellers can find rich pickings among the colourful corals as these waters are where the shipwrecked Lesleen M lays - one of St Lucia's most popular dive spots.
Boat trips, jeep safaris, horse riding, whale watching and rainforest hikes are just some of the activities the hotel can arrange - and to recover there are yoga classes on the deck and massage and beauty treatments given in the privacy of your own cottage.
