Uncomplicated, unassuming and irresistibly Caribbean, East Winds Inn is a truly stress free getaway with a club like vibe, a gorgeous free form swimming pool, open air restaurant and bar. It's kick-off-your-shoes with touches of old fashioned glamour.
Life at this easy going, all inclusive boutique resort is like a low key house party nobody wants to leave. Charismatic General Manager Gareth Leach has been there for years and knows exactly how to make his guests feel at home - many a sociable hour is spent chatting to others over cocktails at the Sunset Bar or around the freeform pool, and you're even free to serve yourself that extra nightcap after closing.
Accommodation
Recently refurbished by its new Canadian owners, East Winds Inn has a quiet, unpretentious elegance and Caribbean soul. The same West Indian charm still prevails, whilst subtle modern touches bring a new contemporary edge that has attracted a laid back younger generation. Pretty gardens are dotted with cute little cottages including hexagonal Rondavels with king size beds, funky walk in showers and large patios and more modern, deluxe rooms have cable TV and other mod cons. And there are nice little touches too, such as nature booklets on the surrounding flora and fauna for botanically minded guests, complimentary champagne cocktails, canapés and picnic hampers specifically tailored for you.
Activities
Non-motorised water sports will help the hours slip blissfully by although most guests seem content sunning or snoozing under a shady palm.
Dining Out
All meals and drinks are included, with top notch menus and well chosen wines - there are up to 40 house wines to choose from. The Executive Chef at the beachside Flamboyant Room draws on the freshest local ingredients and seafood, which can also be served in secluded dining Gazebos (great for groups or romantic twosomes). Then there's Friday's BBQ on the beach, a special Lobster grill and unobtrusive live music to complement the friendly, chilled out ambience that is East Winds Inn.
