English owned and run, Calabash has earned its reputation as one of the best loved hotels in Grenada. A multi million dollar refurbishment last year has added a refreshing, contemporary style, with all suite accommodation, exceptional, friendly staff and the renowned Gary Rhodes restaurant to tempt even the most discerning foodies.
Calabash exudes a certain charm - refreshingly understated with special little touches along the way, this is what the Caribbean is all about. Wake to the gentle bustling of your personal maid preparing your breakfast in the pantry adjacent to your suite, the smell of freshly baked bread and the aromas of Grenadian nutmeg coffee a memorable start to any day.
Accommodation
Suites are clean and contemporary - upgrade to a pool suite for total privacy, with secluded courtyards and your own plunge pool.
Dining Out
Lazy days are spent on Prickly Bay beach where you can have delicious fresh fish and a mean rum punch at the rustic Barnes Beach bar (named after the extremely hospitable Manager Clive Barnes), perfectly positioned to admire all the pretty yachts moored in the bay. Calabash's signature restaurant, overseen by British chef Gary Rhodes, serves really good food in an informal, stunning setting (the gooey chocolate pudding is to die for!) and there is a warm, sociable atmosphere in the bar after dark.
Activities
There's also an excellent dive centre, ScubaTech, and plenty of non-motorised watersports to keep you active, whilst a sunset boat trip to Clover Island is a must during your stay.
