Already a Barbados favourite amongst those in the know, a swanky refurbishment reconfirms Treasure Beach as one of the finest small hotels on the island. Excellent management that go out of their way to make you feel at home, plus some amazing new suites and the powdery white sands of Paynes Bay - this is understated luxury at its best.
You know you've struck gold when you arrive at Treasure Beach. A surprisingly well kept secret, it's a classy little hotel with a sociable atmosphere and a lovely, personal service. General Manager Hamish Watson, a well known figure on Barbados, has an infallible eye for detail and an uncanny instinct for style and seems to know exactly how you want to be treated, which is undoubtedly why guests return year after year.
Accommodation
This year, it reopens with a stylish new look - rooms and suites feature cool, calm interiors, plasma TVs and lavish bathrooms, and right on the white sands of Paynes Bay are 3 gorgeous new Deluxe Suites with whirlpool baths, walk in showers for two and private plunge pools.
Keeping cool comes naturally here with a bright blue ocean on your doorstep and a fresh water pool and when you're feeling the heat, there are complimentary cold facial towels and refreshing fruit.
Dining Out
The setting here is really magical at night - the cosy bar with wooden decking invites guests for mouth watering cocktails and friendly get togethers and you can now dine underneath the stars at The Al fresco restaurant with its retractable awning. The food's great too, making the most of delicious, fresh, local ingredients. Or sample the fare at other west coast hotels through the Dine-Around exchange scheme. And although nightlife at the hotel is fairly low key, party people are well placed for nearby local bars and other trendy restaurants.
