A tropical gem, set in 10 acres of beautiful botanical-style gardens on Barbados's lively south coast, Almond Casuarina has emerged from a recent refurbishment and expansion in better shape than ever.
Location
This newly-reopened all-inclusive property is the latest to join the ranks of the expanding Barbados hotel chain Almond Resorts, which has two other Barbados hotels and two on St Lucia. Despite the extra beachfront rooms and facilities that have been added, Almond Casuarina has retained its cosy atmosphere and revels in its tucked-away location on Dover Beach near St Lawrence Gap.
A member of the Green Hotels Association, it is renowned for its eco-friendly practices and has scooped several environmental awards.
Children's Entertainment
It is a great family-friendly resort with three swimming pools, a kid's pool and a children's club that caters for three to 12 years olds. A full-service nursery is also available for newborns up to two years.
Activities
There's plenty going on for guests of all ages with a full compliment of water sports, plus a fitness centre - and for those wanting to pamper themselves, there's a full-service spa.
Dining Out
In addition to the resort's three restaurants and four bars, guests can also jump on the shuttle to the sister resorts - the Almond Beach Club and the Almond Beach Village to sample their fare. Almond Casuarina's close proximity to St Lawrence Gap - the South Coast's main resort - makes it easy to wander out into the resort, a five-minute walk away, to sample the local nightlife.
